The Suzuki SX4 with AWD was like the CUV/crossover before the craze. Same with the AWD Matrix/Vibe and similar I guess. The XL7/Grand Vitara were decent SUV’s on the low end of price. They were always on my radar for a cheap beater SUV in the past. The Kizashi had some great style to it and could also get AWD.

age is absolutely an issue. the aforementioned hoses, belt, gaskets, etc breakdown over time, regardless of mileage. Suzuki are not toyotas or hondas. they do not have the same parts availability. old hondas and toyotas are good and reliable because they have bountiful parts making maintenance easy and cheap.
