In reply to mickcivic • Dec 8, 2014. The NC-E2 is a blessing and a curse. When my 1d mk ii n dies, I'll be able to sell the main body for perhaps $100 in parts and the charger for $200-250. Since I only bought the whole gig for $400, I'll have only paid $50 for the whole time I used it. Just can't get better than that.

many people here suggested 1d mk2N. I got that plus 70-200 f4 from Canon refurbished. For $800 total o am set for beach. I dont have to worry about sand damage lost or stolen. with the savings not getting mk3 or 4 i finally broke down and got 24-70 f2.8 mk2 from Canon price watch for $1619 after $100 rebate.
